BioBlab’s Mission
BioBlab was founded as an independent blog to highlight high school scientific research at Western Reserve Academy. Since expanding beyond WRA, BioBlab’s mission has been to provide educational science articles, podcast episodes, and resources to students around the world, no matter their background.
My Story
My name is Cavin. I am a student at Brown University studying biomedical engineering. At a middle school dissection camp, I fell in love with the complex world of science during a guest lecture. Now, I believe in the power of accessible information and truth to inspire. Merging my passions for science and journalism, I developed BioBlab to replicate scientific news articles at the student level.
Our Purpose
BioBlab is, first and foremost, an accessible platform for high school research to be shared. Some students have little exposure to topics such as bioengineering or biotechnology due to financial issues, a lack of school resources, or a confusing wall of information on the web. Through this blog, I hope to provide an equal opportunity for students to learn about science and become interested in STEM careers.
Bioblab‘s definition of success is simple: making one student heard in order to inspire another.
